Who We Are
Who We Are
The PCEA UK Outreach is a multiracial and multicultural, dynamic Presbyterian church based in England, United Kingdom. We currently have four parishes that form the Europe Mission Presbytery. They are: PCEA London Parish (Barking Road), PCEA Luton Parish, PCEA Reading Parish, and PCEA Birmingham Parish. The membership of the church is primarily from Kenya, with several members from other African countries and England. Our vision is to see the membership reflect the diversity and cosmopolitan nature of England. As a church, it is our desire that every man, woman, and child hears and is transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, living a fulfilled and victorious life. We have continued our mission of reaching out to African expatriates living in London and other major cities across the UK. We
seek to achieve this by:
a) Providing a forum where they can attend regular worship services in a familiar environment and language through our Sunday church gatherings.
b) Providing an opportunity for them to meet and interact with people from their own country.
c) Providing spiritual, moral, and emotional support to those in need, either through church services or at district fellowships and other forums.
The church holds regular services conducted in accordance with the Presbyterian tradition, while always listening to the younger generation without altering the Gospel message. We also organize home fellowships and visit members and others in need, both in their homes and occasionally in hospitals.
We are pleased that PCEA congregations in the UK have become principal places of worship, offering a welcoming environment for those arriving from their home countries and for many who often feel uprooted from their communities back home. At the same time, these fellowships serve as a bridge between cultures, supporting members on their journey toward integration into the wider community.
We work closely with local churches to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ and collaborate with the Kenya High Commission in London. Additionally, we partner with various Kenyan, African, and UK faith-based and community-based networks to support the strengthening of community values among the African diaspora living in the United Kingdom.
